A Question of Balance

Both Taxes represent binding, legal obligations on behalf of the citizens of Mesa to our city government.

Yet no where on the ballot is a Proposition that binds the City Council or City Manager to implement any of the reforms outlined in the Mesa 2025: Financing the Future report.

Once these Taxes are in place, Accountability Programs and Budgeting Reforms, as well as Sunset and Expenditure Reviews, could all fall by the wayside.

Why were these Tax Questions not drafted to include binding commitments on behalf of our government to the citizens of Mesa?
